3-day Maasai Mara package

This 3-day package gives you an immersive experience in one of the world’s best safari destinations, with ample opportunity to spot wildlife, enjoy the beautiful landscape, and learn about the local Maasai culture.

3-Day Masai Mara Safari Package

Day 1: Arrival & Evening Game Drive

Morning:

• Arrival at Masai Mara. Fly directly from Nairobi to the Mara Airstrip (approximately 45-minute flight) or drive (around 5-6 hours by road).
• Transfer to your lodge or camp. Choose from luxury options like Mara Serena Safari Lodge, Angama Mara, or more rustic tented camps like Kicheche Bush Camp.

Afternoon:

• Lunch at the lodge/camp. Depending on the time of arrival, enjoy a relaxing meal and freshen up.

Late Afternoon/Evening:

• Game Drive (3:30 PM – 6:30 PM): Embark on your first safari game drive in the Mara. You’ll likely see the Big Five (lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, and rhinos), along with cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and many more. The Mara is known for its abundant wildlife.
• Return to the lodge/camp for dinner.
• Overnight stay at your selected lodge/camp.

Day 2: Full Day of Game Drives & Mara River

Early Morning:

• Early Morning Game Drive (6:00 AM – 9:00 AM): Start with an early game drive to see the animals at their most active. The Mara is famous for its lion prides, so you may get lucky and spot a hunt.
• Breakfast back at the lodge/camp after your morning drive.

Mid-Morning to Afternoon:

• Full-Day Game Drive (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM): After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive exploring deeper areas of the reserve. Visit Mara River (especially if it’s during migration season) to witness the famous wildebeest migration crossings (July-October). It’s an incredible experience if you visit during this time.
• Picnic Lunch in the Park: Have a packed lunch in a scenic spot, while observing the surrounding wildlife.

Late Afternoon:

• Game Drive (3:00 PM – 5:30 PM): Continue exploring different regions of the park. This is a good time to look for leopards lounging on trees or buffaloes gathering at waterholes.
• Return to your lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Early Morning Game Drive & Departure

Early Morning:

• Final Game Drive (6:00 AM – 8:00 AM): Head out for one last early game drive. The early hours offer the best chances to see predators and the animals before the midday heat sets in.

        Breakfast back at the lodge/camp.

Morning:

• Optional Maasai Village Visit (9:00 AM – 11:00 AM): Before you leave, you can choose to visit a nearby Maasai village. Here, you can learn about the Maasai people’s culture, traditions, and lifestyle.

Check-out and transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi or depart for your road transfer
