3-Day Lake Naivasha Safari Package

Day 1: Arrival & Lake Naivasha Exploration

Morning:

• Arrival at Lake Naivasha. You can fly from Nairobi to the nearest airstrip (approximately 30-minute flight) or opt for a road transfer (about 1.5 to 2 hours by road).
• Transfer to your lodge or camp. Options include luxury properties like the Lake Naivasha Serena Safari Lodge, Naivasha Simba Lodge, or the more rustic and intimate camp experience at Crater Lake Camp.
• Afternoon:
• Lunch at the lodge/camp. Enjoy your meal while taking in views of the lake and surrounding landscapes.

Late Afternoon/Evening:

• Lake Naivasha Boat Ride (3:30 PM – 5:30 PM): Set off for a relaxing boat ride on Lake Naivasha, which is known for its abundant birdlife and large populations of hippos. You may spot different species of waterfowl, pelicans, and storks, as well as enjoy the stunning view of the lake’s serene waters.

Day 2: Crescent Island & Game Drives

Early Morning:

The area is home to a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and buffaloes. You may also spot predators like lions or leopards that frequent the area.

• Crescent Island Safari (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM): After breakfast, head to Crescent Island for a guided walking safari. The island, located in the middle of Lake Naivasha, is home to a variety of animals, including giraffes, impalas, zebras, and gazelles. It’s a peaceful spot with little to no predators, so walking safaris here are safe and allow you to get up close to the wildlife. Late Afternoon:

Day 3: Early Morning Game Drive & Departure

It is the former home of Joy and George Adamson, famous for their work with lion conservation. The center also offers insight into the region’s wildlife conservation efforts.
• Check-out and transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi or begin your road transfer.
